Loving Lola

Sketch 158 @ Scrapbook Challenges
This is my Lola (Grandma in English) Coring. I chose 1 Corinthians 13:3-5 because this best describe her. She is a very good example of what love is really is.
She has the patience of a saint and too kind for her own good. I know she enjoys many things but does not envy and definietly does not boast. She is humble and is not rude. She is always giving even when nothing is left for her. She does not easily angered. She always forgives.
She lives far from me now and I trully miss her. When I was still a kid, I remember that she makes sure that I have lunch/snacks for school. She will pack baked goodies she made. She will take time to chat with me about anything.
She is also the one who introduced me to Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior. She made us attend bible school during school vacation. At that time, I went because it was so much fun. Back then, I didn't realize how significant knowing and accepting Jesus in my life would be. Now, I can't imagine not knowing Him and not having a personal relationship with Him.
Thank you Lola C! I love you and I miss you!

Gimme

This is my take for Sketch 133 at Scrapbook Challenges. This 2 are like cat & mouse...they always want to play the same toys at the same time. I guess that's how siblings are. Christmas Gift

Here's a sneak peak of one of the pages for my desk calendar (December '09)
Usually by the time we start what we call the "ber" months, we have already put up a Christmas tree at home, Christmas songs are being played on the radio, TV programs starts to have their Christmas countdown, people rushing to buy gifts. This year Christmas started very late for me. We put up our Christmas tree 2 weeks ago only & until now I haven't finished my list.
I've always wanted to give useful & unique gifts to people who are special to me. This year I'm doing desk calendars. So far...I'm way behind and most likely they will receive their calendars by January *LOL*
Materials Used:
PP: American Crafts
Embellishments: Making Memories Metal embellishment, Maya Road clear stamp, Revo Spicy Chicken Font
Tools: Zutter (haven't used yet hehehe, will do all the pages at the same time)

Andrea

I did this layout using Inspired Blueprints Sketch #4. I haven't submitted though because I still I want to add something but not sure what it is. I find it too plain and have this feeling that is too flat hehehe... Will post the new & imporve version once I'm done... :-) This photos were taken by our cousin Ria when she visited us last May. Really love how she captures this wonderful moments with Andi. I heard that the red dress was only good for one photoshoot and after it was done, they had to change coz Andi ate chocolates and had chocolate stains after hehehe
Materials Used:
PP: SEI, Scrapbook Walls

The Luge

Here's my entry for Create's "A Witches Brew" and "Lift It" challenge lifting Pamela's Chocoholic LO at Scrapbook Challenges My brew is a mixture of 1. eye of newt --- 2 buttons 2. wool of bat --- 3 different kinds of ribbons 3. Adder's fork --- 1 metal embellishment 4. owlet's wing --- 1 transparency 5. fillet of a fenny snake --- AC Thickers The Luge is part go-cart, part tobogan. It's one FUN FUN ride. Their slogan is really true, once is not enough! It's very addictive. Good thing the price is reasonable (else, once might be enough hahaha).
